Design with a perfum of Chita flowers / Design com o perfume floral da chita


















Da estampa da chita, o tecido popular com origem indiana que veste e reveste a história da formação social brasileira, o designer mato-grossense Sérgio Matos colhe as flores. Como ramalhetes, elas dão formas à linha de produtos de decoração e mobiliário com o nome do pano que está na literatura regionalista e no universo poético do folclore do País. Luminárias e mesa lateral exibem a delicadeza do floral estruturado com arame e envolvido com fios de crochê pelas mãos caprichosas das artesãs paraibanas da Comunidade Alfa, na cidade portuária de Cabedelo. As peças traduzem a relação afetiva do designer - radicado na Paraíba - pela cultura nordestina e privilegiam técnicas artesanais que as tornam únicas. No ar, o perfume da originalidade que evoca memória e tradição.

From the “chita flower” print, the popular fabric with Indian origin that cloths and covers the history of the formation of the Brazilian society, the Mato Grosso designer Sergio J. Matos reaps the flowers. Like flower bouquets, they give the forms of furniture and decoration products with the name of the fabric ( ¨Chita”) that is in the regionalist literature and the poetic universe of folklore of the country. Lamps and side table show the sensitivity of the structured made with floral wire and wrapped with wire crochet by the capricious hands of artisans from Paraíba, Community Alpha in the port city of Cabedelo. The pieces reflect the affective relationship of the designer - based in Paraiba -for the northeastern culture and emphasize the artisanal techniques that make them unique.
