Há um Brasil original em cada recanto desse país continental. Paisagens de matizes distintas e detalhes da fauna e flora concentram tanto exotismo que se desdobram, com naturalidade, em cartões postais. Mas, é a originalidade da mistura dos povos que faz desse Brasil gentil um lugar de emoção e poesia. Na cor da pele, nos sotaques da regionalidade, nas manifestações populares, nos ritmos, sabores e saberes que habitam gerações e que seguem vivos como símbolos da maior riqueza. Brasileiros da mistura de índios, negros e europeus que surpreendem o mundo pela alegria incontida, pela beleza mestiça e diversidade cultural que nenhuma outra nação tem igual. Um caldeirão de heranças e tradições que fervilha nas manifestações populares, nos ritos sacros e pagãos, na música, nos ofícios, nos saberes amparados na ancestralidade que é o berço de tudo.

Essa originalidade, que por aí afora chamam de brasilidade, é ALIMENTO e inspiração para o design que com minha assinatura também narra histórias e abriga memórias. E diante dele não escondo minha fome por novas doses, goles e porções. Agora, tenho a oportunidade de sentar à mesa com indígenas e ribeirinhos do Amazonas e estou em festa. A convite do Sebrae-AM integro a equipe de consultores do Projeto Brasil Original para promover a inserção do artesanato com design inovador e referências identitárias. Ocasião para respirar outros ares, navegar pelos rios Negro e Solimões, caminhar por trilhas, explorar costumes, ouvir outros sons, perceber novos gestos, descobrir matérias-primas inusitadas, saborear a criatividade local. Por alguns dias serei um estrangeiro na minha própria terra ao visitar São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Barcelos, Tefé e arredores. Minha ansiedade parte na frente, ao encontro do aprendizado com os povos da floresta.

To the encounter of originality

There is an original Brazil in each corner of this continental country. Shades of different landscapes and details of fauna and flora concentrate so much exoticism that unfolds, with neutrality in post card. But, the originality of mixture of peoples makes this gentle Brazil a place of emotion and poetry. In the color of the skin, in the regions accents, in the popular manifestation, in the rhythm, flavors and knowledge that inhabit generations and keeps alive as symbols of major wealthy. Brazilians from a mixture of Indians, Africans and Europeans, who surprises the world with unrestrained joy, by mestizo beauty and cultural diversity, like any other nation has. A cauldron of inheritances and traditions, that simmers in the popular culture, in the sacred and pagan rites, in the music, in the offices, in the knowledge supported on ancestry which is the root of all this.

This originality, which out there they call it brazilianness, is FOOD and inspiration for design that with my signature also tells histories and houses memories. And before it I do not hide my hunger for new doses, sips and portions. Now, I have the opportunity to sit at the table with indigenous and riverine from Amazonas and I am celebrating. By invitation of Sebrae-AM, I integrate the team of consultants of the Project Original Brazil to promote the integration of craftsmanship with innovative design and identity references. The occasion to breathe other air, navigates by the Negro and Solimões Rivers, walk trails, exploring customs, hear sounds, see new gestures, and discover unusual materials, sample local creativity. For a few days I will be a foreigner in my own land to visit São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Barcelos, Teffe and surroundings. In front of my anxiety to meet the learning with the forest people.
